Whatever I Wear Is Often Rumpled.

Look, I have a pallet. It’s pretty warm in the studio lately, kinda shocking to not have to wear multiple layers indoors during a Montreal winter. That said , I’m looking for a studiomate so if you are an artist in Montreal looking for a laid back work space in Mile End full of chillers , get in touch.

Ok. Wearing blouse from Frip-Prix Renaissance, shorts are cut off from the boyfriend’s cast off cords he bought at the Salvation Army 9 years ago , tights from Winners , boots are vegan Docs , belt by Vegetarian Shoes (honestly , I’m less than thrilled with it). Long necklace was found in the elevator , short one was made by my pal Courtney. It’s got a cat on it.

Lipstick is OCC lip tar in Pretty Boy. If you haven’t gripped any OCC yet, get with the fucking program. The entire line is vegan, free of weird chemistry and they have the most amazing selection of colours plus it lasts for hours. You can snack away or stick a microphone in your face without it budging. Shipping to Canada from OCC is expensive so I order it from Suite 7 Beauty. Order some now , thank me later. Seriously , best lipsticks ever.

Nail Polish For The Damned

I tried to convince Genki to help me show off the new mani  but he was not stoked and ran away.

Him and Georges were just like “WTF you insaniac lady!?”

So I tried a lil’ scratching , awkward as fuck to photogragh.

Then the perfect solution dawned on me:

Yes , it says “nihilist” on my wrist. I know, I know.

I’m wearing China Glaze in “Crushed Candy” over Barry M in “Chocolate Brown”. My topcoat is ALWAYS Seche Vite. All brands are vegan friendly. China Glaze and Barry M are both 3-free while Seche has some nasty chemicals in it but it WORKS SO WELL!

I love crackle nails because as a scrounger , my polish takes a serious beating and with crackles it’s easy to touch it up and keep a manicure going for 5 or 6 days with it looking too nasty.

If you are a spazz like I am you get polish all over your fingers. Take a acetone soaked q-tip or  dedicated eyeshadow brush and clean that shit up.  Have some dignity! Wiping your nails with vinegar before you put on your basecoat will keep stuff in place longer.

The bracelets were gripped from 2 different vendors at an African music festival.
